Film Highlight: Cordelia by Tunde Kelani
Behind the scenes, Ambassador Dotun Taylor has proven to be a cultural genius and bridge-builder. He was the executive producer of “Asiyanbi – Ti Oluwa Nile on Stage”, popularly renowned to be the first movie to be reenacted as a stage play. The production which aired at Terraculture, Victoria Island Lagos starred heavyweights such as Yaw, Baba Wande, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Baba Kamo, Ozain, Aisha Lawal, Yemi Elesho, and Jude Chukwuka, breathing new life into a Yoruba classic.
Significantly, Taylor also played a pivotal role in reconciling legendary filmmaker Tunde Kelani and veteran actor Baba Wande, a rift that had lingered for decades. His ability to restore harmony within the Yoruba creative industry shows not only his leadership but also his deep passion for heritage preservation.
The Cordelia screening adds cinematic brilliance to the Olojo Festival 2025, strengthening Ile-Ife’s place as the cultural heartbeat of the Yoruba people.📍 Venue: Ojaja Cinema, Ife Grand Resort, Ile-Ife, Osun State
